If you have one of those 30+ gallon compressors put it on the outside of the barn and feed a 30' hose through the wall. It keeps the noise level down when it turns on plus it saves a little space. I always that was a great idea. Insulate the walls, plenty of shelving and storage. I always thought a work pit would be cool, like an oil change shop. Unless, you are putting in a hydraulic lift.
