hi bill,

Well shortly after I got my shop built and got the Corvette moved in there I aquired this '69 truck project. I convinced my wife and myself too I guess, that it wouldn't take too long to get this thing up and running. We all know how that goes. One thing led to another and when I got ready to pull the engine to paint the firewall back to the original yellow I discovered that the engine didn't turn. 2 cylinders had gotten water in them sometime long before I bought this thing. Thankfully I paid less that the cost of just the new parts that came with it.

So I've been building a new engine in my spare time. Here is the link to the engine thread I have going on the Corvette site.

It's rather lengthy but the whole idea is to end up with a good mild performance engine without selling the farm..

I'm hoping to build a fire in this thing soon and get this truck on the road next summer. Then it's full speed ahead on the Corvette.
