    23 yr old, old skool rod lover looking to get my first rat rod going soon. Hope to learn alot from this site and the years of knowledge and tricks from all of you. Helping me to making a demon of a rod.
    Look what I built, it shines so beautifully, now watch as it destroys me.

    I'm looking for a 59-62 El Camino or a 60-62 bel air right now, but I wouldn't turn down a good deal or a good suggestion.

    Welcome aboard.

    First thing, there is no factory built '61-2 El Camino. After that it's not too hard to find those cars if you stay vigilant. Here's some places to look;

    http://www.littlenickel.com/

    and then there are some occasionally listed in the Seattle Times classifieds.
    Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

    It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

    Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
