Hi all, looks like a great active forum you've got here! About myself, I remember as a kid goin down to the local track and watching Don Garlits, Shirley Muldowney, Don Prudhomme and the rest battle it out. Talked to most of them. We had this local racer, the "Folsom Flash" (Bob Bunker) that ran a 56(55?) metallic green blown doorslammer who used to have grudge matches all the time. Watching him race really lit the fire inside me to drive a blown motor one day. My first car was a 69 Polara police car with a 440 Magnum. Really filled my need for speed! Been hooked on big-block Mopars ever since. Now I'm finally fulfilling my dream by building a blown 65 Coronet. It's not on the road yet, but I'm sure not giving up.
