just saying hello, and asking a question.
Hey guys!
Love the site! Nice to know there are still some of us left who still actually work on their own cars.
I Just picked up a 66 Valiant and the last owner removed the manual column shift and 170 motor and put in an automatic column shift 225 slant six. I didn't mind any of that but he put a power steering unit in. My question is what would I have to do to switch back to manual steering. Is it just a matter of switching the power steering unit for a manual one or am I gonna have to change linkages?
Just trying to keep "Old Steel" Alive.
Thanks.kmccruz

Was just doing some checking in the old collision manuals I have. I don't believe there is anything in the linkage that's different, but the couplers that attach the gear to the column don't look like they're the same. This is where I'd concentrate.---Tom

all you have to do is change out the steering gear box
On a bitterly cold winter morning a husband and wife were listening to the radio during breakfast. They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park...
