Hi, everyone. I've finally got my hot rod after all these years. I'm 56 years old and have purchased a 1923 Ford T-bucket that was built for Street Rodder Magazine as a sweepstakes giveaway car. It was built in 1985 and I'm the sixth owner. It was the cover car on Street Rodder October 1985. I'm looking forward to learning alot from this forum and others experiences.

Hey, I think you must have bought that car from a guy that lives up the road from me... He has had that car for the last several years and I have seen it around most of the local shows... Good lookin bucket if it is the one I am thinking of...

Hi, must be a different car. This one is red with McLean Wire Wheels on the rear and Harley Davidson Wheels on the front. It was in the Seattle area after being sold by the guy who won it in the Sweepstakes Drawing in 1985. I live in Idaho and I'm the sixth owner. Glad to be a new member and hope to learn alot to keep it up and running. It has a Chevy 350 small block with an Offenhauser manifold with three dueces(rochester carbs). I'm going to keep the Nostalgic look. All I know from the magazine articles is that it is a 78 Chevy small block. I'm looking for information on ignition timing and it has a GM Single Point distributor and I wonder if anyone out there can tell me what the dwell angle should be.

Thank you very much for the dwell angle. I will post the pictures as soon as I can. I just found out reading the magazines that came with my car that Hot Rods by Boyd did the cowling and put in the gauges back in 1985. Jack Webb of California "T" Components who built this car for Street Rodder magazine joined up with Boyd later. This is the same Boyd Coddington that I'm now learning about. Alot of history to this neat car. Glad to be aboard and I've got alot of reading these threads to do. I was away from cars way to long.

Awwww, we critters dont get fed now? that sux. Anyway, welcome to the club. Youll find theres a lot of teens/critters around, but the other geezers keep us in line usually. Have fun with it, and ask around.

Compiling the history on the car could be as interesting as working on the car itself!! A well documented peice like this could make for a very interesting and valuable hot rod. Welcome to CHR and please share some pics of your ride soon.
