I didn't say what it was. "Fordy Stalker II" Seeing as this is a family build much like my dad built his coupe with the help of his brothers, I am going to name it after dads coupe only adding a 2 or II. Plus dads coupe is my biggest influence on my truck. After he got back from Vietnam his car was redone and became the "Fordy Stalker" They handpainted and gold leafed that on his doors, the version of dads car I grew up with. I was going to have my cousin laser cut me some custom hood badges that said that but I think instead we will paint it on the wood I plan on putting in the stake pockets.

Looking great! From the 2 I worked on, and my Tudor, I believe they all suck to get aligned. I like the name and meaning behind the truck too.

Thanks, little bit here, little bit there, you know my hood is longer on one side or shorter on the other depending on how you look at it, on the back of the hood from the bead rolled area down.

Dad named his car the "Fordy Stalker" back in the early 70's after he got back from Vietnam, he took the flathead out and dropped the 455 Buick in it, I believe he was running low 13 second quarter miles back then and it was basically a daily driver. I am told besides some drag racing on the track he was street racing too, picking on the mustangs, corvettes, camaros etc. of the time, I have only heard stories. Thus the Fordy Stalker.

Here is my dad with my uncle at Dixie Raceway, Later 70's. My uncle was a autobody/autoshop teacher at one of the northern Utah high schools for over 20 years. They all pitched in on building the coupe, my other uncle was an art teacher and was involved in the painting and gold leafing of the door logos.

Kinda mounted running boards up yesterday too, I think we need to trim a little more off the inner fenders we modified, they are resting on the frame some, going to need to add/remove parts of the hood too.

Still working on repairing fenders and getting front end alignments.

I assume folks used to mount lights on the fenders, I have seen the exact same holes on other fenders before, we drilled the holes bigger and cut material from a coupe fender to fill them in.

My cousin made me a custom grille shroud today and a hood support, I need pick those up and get them installed, will also have the hood latch etc.

Set the grille shroud my cousin made on there, we'll get back to that later though.

Still working on body stuff, starting to delete the holes and flat spots on the passenger running board for the spare tire mount. We'll also get rid of the bigger flat spot there.
