Just checking in. Got a 71 Nova with 250 that I'm starting to restore. Been grinding paint from trunk for about a month. It's a mess but fun. Drives great! Not much of a hot rod I guess but I like it.

Welcome to the club aclark. Get some paint stripper. You can do a months work in a couple of hours.
My son has my digital camera but I'll get some pics. Not much to look at.
I said I was dealing with "paint". That was a brain fart. I'm dealing with rust and it's 3 times the work I though it would be. Especially where the trunk dips down along the fenders. And there is all that foam garbabe down there.
As Pro say's you've got to start somewhere. Sounds like your project will keep you busy for awhile. Even if the car you say looks like junk, send some pictures so we can see the before an after project.
Thanks Streets, That must be what it is. It make a mess but did the paint thinner work? Does it create a toxic substance. I don't want to kill my neighbors.
