Another New Guy
Hello All .. I am a Caraholic. I am powerless to my addiction. Anyways, I'm about to start going thru mid life crisis. And have been around cars most of my life. Have had the current " project " for about 18 yrs. now, have been racing it for the past 15. Its a 64 Malibu SS.
It started its 2nd life after I bought it as an " abanded " vehicle and havent stopped modifing it since. Every winter I have made changes to it. And I'm looking at turning it around 180'. Right now it sits on the ground and backhalfed and has been a strickly track car since 1996. Now looking at bringing it up 8" or so, putting a straight axle under it and getting it to resemble a Gasser Car.
And put it back on the streets again.
If any body has any info for doing something like this I would appreciate any and all info I can get. I really like the axles with the radius arms, but dont know anything about them and havent seen much of them in yrs.
Thanks,

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
