Welcome to CHR Dave! Lots of us old retired farts around here with bad body parts!!!! As for the chassis delay, goes to the first two rules of Hot Rodding;
1. It's going to take longer then you thought.
2. It's going to cost more then you thought.
Welcome to the Forum, Dave, I was a Summit County Colorado resident for 5 wonderful years and I miss the Rockies a lot. As far as the Project goes, just take your time and "enjoy" - - - I know that's hard to do and we all have been there with wanting a cruiser NOW but it will happen and when it does "it will all be worth it" - - trust me.
You won't find a Hot Rod Forum any more friendlier, knowledgeable and willing to help so don't hesitate to throw that question, idea or opinion out there. Their bark is much worse than their bite hahahahahaha

Welcome Dave from us in the wintery deep south. Sounds like you have a plan in your head as to what you want the finished car to look like. I will tell you though that we love photos of almost anything here even if is the left handed right thread octagonal headed PK screw sitting on the work bench that may hold something down and the family pet.:LOL:
Welcome from another retired ME! Hope you get your roller soon, and can get started on the project in earnest.

Early on I lived in OP, but we built a house in Olathe and were there for about 25 years. Moved to the country back in '02, and if you rode bikes out this way you were likely very near where we now live, out in the county just out of Gardner's city limits. I worked for Black & Veatch, and was on the design team for Platte River Power's Rawhide Energy Station up on the flats NNW of Loveland off of I25 back in the '90's. Made quite a lot of trips out there during construction.
Welcome to the forum. I have one of those "Taking longer than expected builds". LOL In fact all mine have been near that. Haha
