Love the site, glad I found it
Hi all,
I sure am glad I found the site and I look forward to learning a lot here. I am 31 years old and I have 2 hotrods. The first is a 1955 Chevy Cameo pickup that I bought when I was 14 for $400.00 I spent the next 4 years restoring it and finished it just in time to drive it to my highschool graduation in '91. I have had a lot of fun in that truck over the years and I sure am proud to be the owner. I'll never get rid of it because I refuse to be one of those guys who says, "You know, I used to own one just like that..." My second hotrod, a 1968 Firebird, I just picked up fairly recently, just over a year ago in fact. It too is in need of a restoration and that process is underway. I had wanted one for the last 10-12 years and swore that someday I would own one. My dad finally made me live up to my promise when he called right after the new year in 2003 saying that he had found a screaming deal on one in NV if I was interested. At that time we were getting ready to replace the kitchen floor in the house, and all I can say is, I have a wonderful and very understanding wife. Just this February, I took the Firebird on it's maiden (well for me anyway) voyage. It's going to be a lot of fun too. Well, that's probably enough about me. I look forward to chatting with you all and learning a lot too.
