New Chevy owner from Russia.
Hey, my name is Anton
I'm from Russia, St-Petersburg city
Half year ago I got Chevy Beauville '79 with 350 engine, now it's time to pulli it out!
So, you may check these funny photos
In the oil pan I found some "spares" ahah
I'm going to restore this engine - in stock only, no any tuning. Racing van - that's abnormal in Russian Federation, you know)))))
So, may I post topic in "Engine" section with my questions, photos and info during my work with the my small block?
Best regards, Anton

Welcome to CHR Anton! Looks like part of a rod cap down there in the pan.....Not good, huh!!!!!!! Must be quite difficult to even find parts for it in Russia, isn't it?Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Thanks mates!
yes, it's a little bit difficult to find parts here - or cheap "made in China" or scrap from junkyard. Only one way - it's order from Summit, eBay etc. But delivery terms are terrible 15-30 days!
I'm very lucky that I found this van - now it's impossible to bring any US full-size car here due to terrible custom fee. Possible, but by not cheap and not legal.
So, after "abduction" I find that engine is totally destroyed
Look at this hole in the oil pan!
Traces on pistons
Connecting rod
Very funny chain
Crankchaft
Now I have only 350 block, not bored yet.
PS. Please excuise my terrible English - I missed a lot of lessons at school))))

yeah, heads are ok, but I need some works with valve stem guides and new valves.
Well I've sure gotten old too so don't worry about it! I've had two bypass surgeries, new knees, fought prostate, cancer and diabetes. I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine,...
