    Hello from Mass.

Hi Folks! My name is Kim, among our many hobbies my husband and I love to restore "stuff". Tractors, trucks, cars, furniture, boats, basically anything someone else gave up on. We restored a 1933 ton and a half Ford dually pick up that we recently sold after a couple of years of shows, and fun.

Never to have a time without a project we recently aquired a giant puzzle! 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 6 window limo. All the pieces, parts, are there just dismantled waiting for someone to put it all back together again. Wish us luck with this one. LOL Seriously it will be a fun project that is just starting this weekend. We actually had to put an 8' extension on the garage before we could get this 25' monster inside with room to manuver around it!

Enough about me, I look forward to chatting with you all, and any advice you are willing to share. Especially where to get the upholstery pieces.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi, Kim, and welcome.

You and your husband will find people here to be friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We're glad to have you.

    I like the big-finned Cadillacs.

Funny thing ...... only a lousy forty years or so ago I wouldn't have driven one to a dog fight, but now I find myself looking at them again. I answered an ad for a '57 convertible a few months back. It was black and beautiful ..... as long as you looked at the left side only. It had been in some trouble all the way down the right side and the repair job wasn't exactly professional in appearance. The damage may have been minor and whoever did it just did a lousy job of blocking it out. I don't know, but the prospect of opening up a big can of worms scared me off.

Well, ..... that, and the realization that I would have been shot on sight when I drove it home!

    I like the truck too.

    Good luck with the Fleetwood,

    Jim

Thanks for the warm welcome Folks! I think I will love poking around here as time permits, SO much to see.

We pushed the old girl in the garage 1-7-12 well after we built an 8' extention on the garage so we could move around the 25 footer,LOL. She left for paint 2 days ago! WOW Engine, trans, redone and back in the car, in primer..... well you know the routine! I have been taking pictures along the way. I'll post a few as to not overwhelm you. LOL

I have one big problem and a couple of small ones. I desperately need a window post for the pass side rear door, any ideas? I also need window run channel and not sure the best place to acquire that. HELP!

    Thanks Folks!
    Kim
