    Another Newbie

    Hey folk's,

New here but not to the hobby. I have a 72 Demon that I built from the ground up. After 2 1/2 years of blood, sweat and gobs of money I was happy with what I had put together. That was 4 years ago. Now I am in the process of collecting parts to build a 340 roots blower engine for it.
It looks like I will have another project soon as my wife wants me to build her a rat rod. I am looking at a 39 Plymouth 5 window coupe for that project. I think I will go with a modern 5.2 or 5.9 Magnum drivetrain for that. She likes the rat rod look but wants the dependability and ease of something new. She will sure surprise a few people when she drives it seeing as she is 67 years old. LOL

Welcome to CHR, Jack. We'd love to see pictures of the Demon, and look forward to the blown 340 project, too. It sounds like you have the right idea on the coupe project, going for the rat rod "look" but with a well engineered driveline built for safety and reliability. We'll look forward to watching your progress there, too. You're going to be a busy guy!!

    Welcome, Jack!

I'm not a Mopar man, but a car like your could change my mind. What a great job you've done to restore a classic car.

    Regards,
