Hello to all,

My name's Matt, I'm 26 and was raised to be a car guy! My daily driver is a 2003 Mercury Marauder, which I love!

But the reason I'm here is because of my uncle.. He has built, from scratch, a 1927 Model T Roadster and is finishing up a 1923 T-Bucket. When I say from scratch, he went to a metal supply shop in Michigan, where he lives, and ordered the 2"x3" tubing and started cutting and welding a frame together. Let's just say as an engineer for Teledyne/Continental Motors for over 40 years, he knows how to design a Model T frame safe for highway use. His 27 has been going strong for over 20 years...

Anyway, fast forward to last year when I registered! As I made trips up to Michigan to visit family, I became very close to my uncle through the years. His passion for street rods has rubbed off on me. So one day last year he asked if I would like to build one for myself.. Of course I said YES!

So we started on a frame, found an engine/tranny (Ford 302 with a C6). I found a 74 Mustang II front end and I can't remember what the rear end is out of. The rolling chassis sits in Michigan now, waiting on me to come back with a trailer to bring it down to Florida. I'm going to build a 27 Roadster, similar, but not quite like his. (he has a Chevy 350 in his)

Anyway, the forum looks like there is a TON of info stashed away... I'm sure I'll be hanging around for a little while... Here's a few pics of what I have at the moment..

It's not a complete rolling chassis, obviously.

Lots of work still left to do. Still some reinforcement of the frame needed.

The frame is a modeled after the Model A and T.. This is mostly how his 27 is set up.

And this is my inspiration. This is my uncle's 27 Roadster.....

We just got back from a quick ride around. This was March of last year. It was a little cold, but I loved every minute of it!!! (You can kinda see the Marauder in the background.. :P)

This is the 23 T-Bucket he's almost finished with. He has a 460 stuffed in there... Should be LOTS of fun when it's done.... Totally custom job as well... (I'm sure some of you guys can spot the Ford tractor grille shell)
