Welcome, 'Noggin, come on in!

I have been through your fine state two or three times but it was always in the Summer and it was great, however, I understand it can get a little brisk around there in the winter.

You will find plenty of friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating car people here and you'll find them to be a great source of advice and information. No matter what situation comes up, somebody here will have been there and done that.

Several years ago I bought a derelict '66 Corsa that was sitting behind an abandoned service station in Virginia. The engine was disassembled and piled in the back seat. It was complete except for the four single barrel intake system. I bought a "spider" type intake for a small four barrel carb and what turned out to be a little too much cam (for street use) but I had a lot of fun surprising people at stop lights. It won a few awards at shows. I have some pictures but naturally I can't find them.

I sold it to my best friend who lived on a cul-de-sac (or however you spell that). He parked it at the end of the street. There was no traffic at all .... except for a high school kid speed testing his daddy's new big Mercury four door.

Totaled both cars and almost the kid too.

That was about 35 years ago and I'm still mad about it.

Glad to have you.

Jim
