Hey, guys/gals. I've been getting advice from a friend of mine for years now that hot-rodding an older domestic car is the way to go. He brings this up every time I want to do something to my car (currently an MR2, previously all imports when the conversation took this turn). Well, I've been brought to a realization: He's been right the whole time. In pricing engine rebuilds, I came across some prices that made me realize that suping up this car would be extremely costly, and have very little gain. I've always loved the Dodge Charger (1969 to be more precice) but considering that I'm in the Navy, married, and my shirt is blue, I can't forsee owning one for a while. I would like, however, anyone's advice on selecting a car (maybe Chevrolet) to work on as a project car to get me up to speed on domestic cars (never worked on a domestic before, unless you count my wife's Exploder) and a sort of general guideline that would work for my first 'rod.
