Introduction
Just thought I would say Hi to everyone being that I'm new.
I have a 1951 Chevrolet Station Wagon (Tin Woody)
it has an original 216 cu. in. engine but I won't be using
it, however I would like to try my hand at building an inline 6
instead of building a V8 I might go with a 250 or 292, but I
haven't got that far yet. I'm still in the dismantling stage.
I live in a small town in the California desert by the name of
Yucca Valley it's approximately 40 miles from Palm Springs.
I have posted some photos of my wagon.
The cars name is "Woodrow" it's the rattyist one of all the photos.
In fact my avatar is a photo of him in the field where I first saw him
in South Dakota.Last edited by gemnewt; 08-17-2011 at 11:04 PM.

Welcome to the forum. Bet you have a lot of good dry old cars out there in the desert, don't you?
Post some pictures of your project when you can.

Welcome also from the deep south. I would also like to see photos of your car and I personally like long roof woodies. I will do the Google Earth thing too to fly in and have a look around your place.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Welcome, I think your the first woodies project I stumbled across here. Will be fun to watch the build. Lots of guys on here doing straight 6's, some very decked out, like Volksrod posted a truck with a real beauty of a inline 6 a few days ago here.
Everybody that is currently building a car..." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
