New Texas member here!
Well I am really stoked about being on this forum! I ahve just aquired a 49 Chevy Styleline for 1k, from one of my co-workers husband, the last time I saw the car he was doing the 12 volt conversion on it and he was driving it regularly, after talking to him the other day the car has been in the garage with the front clip off of it! So I am gonna start off from there. I will definitley be trolling the forums looking for as much info and help that I can get, hope to hear from y'all soon.

There are a few guys on here that can answer just about any question you can throw at them.
I hope you enjoy this site as much as I have over the years I've been here.
A few of the good guys are Bob Parmenter, Techinspector, Pat McCarthy, Dave Severson
Itoldyouso, MustangBill, Jerry Clayton, Pro70z28, Lamin8r Just to name a few that really know their stuff.
We also have bunch of really good guys from Astrail and New Z that know their stuff too.
Really to many to name them all, but just a really good bunch of folks from all over the planet.

Welcome to CHR, Bob. Sounds like you made a great score on the Chevy, and we'll be looking forward to seeing pictures as your project moves forward. I did not recognize the Copperas Cove name, but see that you're down around Round Rock and Kileen, SW of Waco - pretty country!

Welcome, TxBob, been thru your neck o the woods many at time while going shopping in Killeen. We used to live 12 miles west of Lampasas in a little community called Nix and I sure do miss the Hill Country. If you are interested in a good Car Club, you might want to give the Lake Area Street Rods a look-see. They are based out of Burnet not too far from you. Very family oriented and community active also. You got any pics of that '49 ?
