Hi Everyone, New Street Rodder here, with a question
Hi everyone, new street rodder here.
To start, i have been a MoPar guy all my life, and worked on my own stuff too, that being said, i am somewhat unschooled in GM stuff, meaning i have never owned one and dont know much about 350's etc.
I have had C body, B body and A body Chrysler products and have a 69 Super Bee right now.
My wife has been a hot rod girl for a long time, she had a 66 Charger, a 70 442 and a lifted 77 GMC in the 70's truck craze.
So... the other day we had the chance to buy a 41 Chrysler street rod she fell in love with. Actually its a 41 Chrysler Business Coupe with a 37 Chevy front end, with a 350/350 10 bolt, GM electrics etc.
So, the alternator was making a nasty grinding noise so i replaced it, how fun, my first lesson in working around fat fenders. Some of you guys may have the same set up. Its got a neat turnbuckle style belt tightening bracket, but it sure shakes around alot.
It doesnt have a brace from the back of the alternator to the manifold. Does someone make one? I can post some pics of the engine if need be, or just for the heck of it if anyone is interested.
ThanksGirls love Hot Rods too
".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
