    N00b Here.....

I'm introducing myself here per the "instructions". I'm 50, a Sr. Systems Engineer for a defense contractor in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. I play a 1986 Ovation "Collector Series" 12-string super-shallow body acoustic-electric guitar (been playing for 38 years). I'm single, never-married, but do have a wonderful relationship with an "older woman"

I have a '74 Dodge Charger SE (since 1979) that I plan to
restify" into a Hemi SE/RT hybrid of my own design (i.e., the one that Dodge should have made) using mostly stock Dodge Charger parts. When complete, it should look like it rolled out of the factory that way. My only major "planned deviations" are to install a modern Mopar Hemi (no, not the new 4.7 style, I mean a legit crate Hemi that's been available from Ma Mopar for about a dozen years or so); perhaps swap in an aftermarket rack & pinion power steering unit; 4-wheel discs w/4-piston calipers (probably Baer or Brimbo) & a killer aftermarket sound system with CD.

Aside from that, I have the hot rod bug bad & have since I was a little boy. My folks tell me that by the time I was 4 or 5, I could name every car on the road.....I guess it's in my blood.

Anyway, I just discovered you guys (by accident). I've been a member of a couple of Crown Victoria forums for a couple of years. My current "weekend" ride is:

but, I ordered an '04 Marauder earlier this month & it should be in by late March. It looks like this:

    That's all for now.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that I want to hook the Mopar Hemi to a 6-speed (not sure if the Viper tranny will work or a tremec).
