Not new, but back.....
Hi All,
Seemed fitting to introduce myself as have not been here for a few years. In a nutshell..... Dad worked on 'HOMADE' since I was 7 years old. Never done, it was constantly upgraded or changed here and there as needed by his standards. Dad eventually rear-ended another vehicle about 7 years ago. During the rebuild, Alzheimers set in. Sure was a tough day when I had to take HOMADE away from him.
Now, I am getting it back together and running again. It truly is a Johnny Cash Special - One Piece At A Time.
1936 Ford PU frame
1934 body, channeled 4" and stretched 12"
1965 shorty box, channeled 6"
1974 Duster torsion bar front end
9" rear with 3:25 traction lok
1969 302 4bbl with AOD from '92 Cougar
Many other parts and pieces.......
Jegs, NAPA and Autozone love me right now
It's been a fun journey to get it back together and running - but I am not 1/2 the fabricator he was, though not too bad of a wrench.
Next up - body shop to get fenders repaired......
Looking forward to hanging out here and learning from others - and hopefully able to dole out some advice as well....
David
