Another new guy for so. cal. (desert)
Hi - I just found this web site - been spending some time on Jalopy Journal's HAMB. I'm more of a hot rodder than a traditional guy. I have been building hot rods since I was 15 (brought home 2 model A sedan projects) and currently have a 1929 Ford tudor, a 1930 coupe, a 1940 coupe, a 1955 chevy 150, and a 1965 Ford F100 flareside. The '29' and '30' are completed, the chevy and F100 are daily drivers, and the '40' is the current project. Oh, yeah, I also have a couple of '67' Triumph motorcycles.
I didn't intentionally want this many cars - it just kind of happened. I have been working on the 1940 Ford quite a bit lately, work has been really slow. I'm 62 years old and I'm assuming that I am semi-retired now, but don't really want to quit working. I'm one of the few guys that you will meet that likes going to work - gives my life structure. Anyway, I have already learned a lot on this site about rebuilding a tripower setup. Hope to learn and share more. Take care.

Wecome to the Best site in anybodies computer. I so do want that Model A and excellent colour choice and as Don said,It looks as if you enjoy driving it.. I have just joined the HAMB site but I have not completely made my mind up yet if that was a good choice as there appears to be a different type of person on there compared to this excellent friendly helpful site...

Thanks for the kind words. My orange model A is a fun car and does get a fair amount of attention. I'm selling a model A sedan that is posted in the classifieds. I'm having trouble painting my '40' Ford now - first a fisheye problem (I now think I contaminated the primer when I applied a preservative on a model A roof nearby! Lots of silicone in preservative) and then when I got it painted I didn't like the color - I am now resanding and repainting (man I really hate sanding). When it is all squared away I'll post a progress picture.

Hey Dirtcop, welcome from another SoCal guy. Got any pics of that '65 F100? I have a '66 F100 shortbed styleside as my daily driver. Also building a 37 Ford tudor humpback."It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

Welcome, I'm liking the A, sits niceIts aweful lonesome in the saddle since my horse died.
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
