Welcome aboard, nice to have younger folks get into these ol' Fords. Your '35 Standard looks like a decent starting piece.
You probably have already figured out that the engine is a '49-53 Merc (if the heads are for the block) rather than the original engine to the car. You didn't say if you were planning to keep the flatty, but the new upper hoses imply you do. I'd be concerned about those "redneck" engine mount extensions, but then if you're doing the MII front crossmember you're going to have to deal with those anyway.
