Hello my names nate im 25 currently and am considered to be "that young generation with riceburners." I usually get responses like thats yours? Typically as well as, your young to own that car. To which my normal response is yea but who was alive in 1923 to own this car now, I dont see anyone in their 80's and 90s driving them thats for sure. Really though this generation is mostly into the burners, I started out with a ford focus. My last car before this was a 69 mustang to which I got rid of with an opportunity to own this car. When I was young my dad used to take me to the NSRA york hotrod show every year as well as the dirt track races. He knows nothing about working on them so I was on my own there and have learned alot as I've gone.

A little about the car. The former owner had passed away within a year or so, he was the one who had built the car. It's a 440 6 pak big block chrysler out of a 70' superbee. The transmission was just done with a torqueflight tranny and a 3500 stall, the rear is a Ford 9". It's a kit car it's all glass which leads me to a ?

The gentleman I got it from had inherited the car and didnt know to much about it. I need to order brakes, the front are disc but they came with the kit from what I understand. They are definetly not a standard caliper and rotor off any old car. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

Disc brakes for spindle mount wheels...is there a name or part number on the calipers???

Nice looking T, welcome to the forum. That motor has to be worth a few bucks alone, very different and cool.

It might also be useful to check the wheels to see if there's a brand listed on the hubs or rims: e.g. Hallcraft . Total Performance used to sell these kind of setups, TP has now been absorbed into Speedway Motors.

Welcome Nate - while the other guys are helping you figure out the brakes have you got a good "chute packer"??

With that much engine I would bet a set of wings would allow that "T" to fly!

Good to have you with us. We're mostly a bunch of old guys and a few really nice gays too! We've been where you are and it's very refreshing to see a man of your good looks have a brain that goes along with the package!!

Welcome Nate, you are on the right track straight off,one with joining this forum and,two, that awesome little T ,damn better than a closed car ( mustang) any day. You have already got some of the most knowledgeable, neat people responding to your post. Good luck sorting out the whoa factor out on that wow car.

Hey thanks guys for the warm welcome, yea let me go get a picture of the brakes. Theres nothing imprinted onto the spindle or wheel of any kind i'll go ahead and post a picture of it in this thread.

Heres a view from the front of the wheel I beleive the caliper says something with a H on it.

I hope this helps, like I said I know the general specs on the car now it's up to me to figure out everything else. Heres a good one of the motor, yea it does kind of haul pretty good. It's really overkill but I like it and nothing beats the sound of a big block, you really almost cant use all the power as around 3/4 throttle the front end starts to come up around 50 or so and the car starts to float and you have to end up letting off. I didnt buy the car for speed, I love street rods and the noise of the big block. My next upgrade though is an electric fan for sure.

Those are Hurst-Airheart disc brakes, you didn't have a good shot of the spindles, but I'd bet they're Chev. Hurst is long out of the picture, but Airheart still exists: http://www.airheart-brakes.com/front-end.html
