Looking for knowledge

Alright, I' workin on my first build. It's a '69 Chev C-10 w/ a .060 over 350. Comp cams 280 grind, weiand dual plane, rblt holley 570, 3.48" stroke, 10:1 compression, headman headers, 2.5" exhaust. Th350 w/ 4.11 gears.

I'm going to be lowering it 4" front an back, to get that slightly agressive rake. Also, will be transplanting a .060 over BBC but will destroke it to 437ci. The power will go through a blt 700r4 and 3.91's.

oops, the goal is to have a high revvin bbc. I want to be able to push it to 7000 rpms. The build is for a streetable race truck that i can abuse at the track and drive home.

your going to run it to 7000 with a hyd cam? why shoot your self in the foot by moving a truck with a destroked bbc how heavy is the truck?.on the street move up on CID to lower RPM S as for if it could be done? yes not hard.i have built many hi rpm bbc you need good valve train parts and the right parts as well good machine work along with some oil control

Truck weighs a little over 3900lbs. From what i've been reading on the forums here, it sounds like it would be a smart thing to run a Sold Roller cam in the .650" lift range, 110 lsa, and about 300 adv duration, I'm having difficulties finding a cam. The valve train is definetely a main focus of mine, but i don't know much about choosing the right components. The heads will be aluminum w/ a 325cc int runner. Bottom end needs to be forged steel and balanced. The top end will be a tall single plane int. and a 850 holley Also, i'm looking at maybe running a dry sump oiling system.

heavy truck would not be to fast putting a dry sump in there less you got alot of $$$ are you holding back:D i can get just about any size roller ground. truck maybe a big pig your going it this the hard way .but i could be all wrong
