New guy from Washington
Hi All,
I've always wanted to build a hotrod and now I'm finally taking the time do so. I picked up a 1942 Ford truck about 9 months ago and I'm in the process of building it. Right now I'm working on putting together an 8BA Flathead engine with the following:
Engine was ported and releaved
Egge 4 ring pistons
Stock rods
Stock valves
Stock Johnson hollow adjustable lifters
Edelbrock heads
Navarro 4BBL intake with Edelbrock 500cfm carb
4" stroke
Super 3/8 Potvin cam
Well, I got sucked into the Flathead craze and have since purchased 5 other blocks. I spend most of my time disassembling them to have them magged. So far I've only found 1 keeper.
Since I can't work on my truck full time I decided I want to build a front engine Flathead powered dragster. Since I'm new to all of this I'll try to post intelegent questions, but that may not always be the case.

Welcome to the forum and to hot rodding. :D Your build plan for the flatty sounds pretty solid, and I love the idea of a dragster with one. I've seen a few that I've fallen in love with. Keep us posted on your progress.
