Hey there all. My name is Scott. Im new to this site and to the wonderful world of street rods. My pops grew up owning many amazing cars and was a motor head in his youth. He is 68 yrs old now and has been retired for a few years, and just really needed a hobby to get into before he went insane. I brought to his attention that we could build a street rod and he jumped all over it. Neither one of us has a full understanding of what is involved in taking on such a project, but we decided that it didnt matter. It would give him something to do, and provide quality time for him and I together, and if we built a cool car, then that would be a plus.
Last week we bought a 32 Ford 5 window Coupe to start this great adventure. My pops is in the process of having a garage built just to house this project. So we are very serious about this baby. We both know enough to be dangerous, but determined with good forums, like this one, that we will be able to find the help we need at any crossroads we may come to.
With that being said, we both are looking for a little input (actually alot) on the best place to start. The shell is in very good shape with only surface rust. It came with a 350 with what the owners saud had over $8K invested in it. Its attached to the trany that we have no idea whats its about yet. Once we ge the garage built and get some lifts, we are gonna pull all the out and see what we have. But any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated.
I have photos if that would help.

Thanks Scott
