Hi, I purchased a pickup a 1952 chevy pickup, and I really dont know where to start. I am going to protect the chassis with pearl 15( I think thats what its called) there is some cancer towards the rear of the pickup so I am going to have piece fabricated for it, after that dont know. Can any one please lead me the right way. Ill post pictures later.
Sounds like a fun project, btw, it's called POR 15 and it works great!!!! Put us up some pics when you can..... Also, there's a ton of companies making re-pop patch panels if you run into an area with compound curves or something a bit too fab up at home!Quote:

It all depends on how you visualize the truck in your mind when it is completed. Stock brakes/discs all around, stock steering/power rack and pinion, stock motor/engine swap, stock suspension/IFS,IRS, stock top/chopped, stock body/sectioned, stock ride height/in da weeds. I own a computer business and use "Elmer" to pick up and deliver computers, go on service calls, and haul stuff for my yard .... part of the reason (other than my wife's lack of enthusiasm!) for not doing the complete frame-off restoration is I don't want to be afraid to still USE this truck every day and enjoy it, not just have it stored in a garage.
