New guy with a i guess not so hot roddish car
Hello, from Sugar Land, Texas.
HOSS429 told me about this place. I've been looking around and joined a few days ago. It's pretty cool and i like this place from what i've seen.
I drive a 2001 Mustang GT, mildly modded. Lemme just quote the mods from another forum i frequent.
It's also about to be lowered 1.5" in a few weeks or less.FRPP 4.10 gears, K&N CAI, Summit UDP's, Rear end rebuild (Trac Lok and bearings), Bassani O/R X-Pipe, Flowmaster mufflers, SCT Xcal3 American Muscle 93 octane performance tune.
Now that i got this mod motor stang, i realized how much more it costs to buy 2 cams than just one, and now i wish i got a pusrod 5.0 notchback or something that's cheaper to mod
so anyways, here are some pics, and once again, hello.

Welcome! Theres a diverse group of people here, but the common thread is we are a hot rodders and gear heads...so if it makes noise and goes fast we all want to know about it.
Enjoy the forums!

Well, good to see a fellow Texan around here! I think you will like this club. There are many very knowledgeable guys here that are especially helpful. It's made my project much less of a headache. Anyway, nice ride man; Welcome

Welcome to the forum. My Son Don had an 03 Mach I that was red and looked a lot like yours. He really regrets getting rid of it, loved that car. Ford really did a good job on these Mustangs.

Welcome....and you certainly don't need to appologize! If you like it, that's all that matters.
One of the great things about this group is that there are lots of people on here, who like lots of different things. What is even better is that they understand that we all have the "love of modified cars" in common.
Welcome.

What Dave said +1. Hot Rods come in many forms, that what John Force calls his Mustangs and how can you argue with him? I think it's great that we have some late model cars that folks can have fun with. Yours looks sweet and I bet it will snap your neck back too!
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

if i could get traction with the 4.10's and terribly worn rear tires then i'm sure it could snap my neck back as well
my rear tires are way too worn. I'll have to buy some new ones.
I think it's making less than 260 RWHP. Still it's suposedly supposed to get me to 60 in 5-point-something seconds, but that's probably with a good skinny driver and a manual transmission
Haven't been to the drag strip yet.Last edited by Jakashh; 06-21-2009 at 10:08 AM.

If i was to trade my mod motor stang for something with an LS in it it would have to be a 98-02 Trans Am or a GTO with one of those 6.0 LS whatevers in there.
But if it were a 4v mach 1 i'd keep it
