My name is Steve Lang, I started messing around with cars when i was 15 (1968) although my first experience of a Hotrod was when i found an old Hotrod magazine in a bookshop when i was 13, the front cover had Tommy Ivo's T on it and i promised myself that i would build one someday, I waited a while as i started my T the day after Billing 1999 and debuted it at Billing 2000.

My Dad got me into cars initially by taking me to racetracks all over the country, When i left school i did a Precision Toolmakers apprenticeship but left after 3 years as i had the offer of a job at JW Automotive who raced the GT40's & Mirage's at LeMan. Around this time i met Brian Lucas who steered me in the early years and we have remained best buddys. Brian i believe built the first 32 Roadster in the U.K. and also the first to use a tilt column unless someone know's better

A few years later i started a business in the TV/Film industry supplying Location Facilities and this i did until 2005 when i had enough and looked for a different job, while in limbo looking a friend suggested building rods and i started Langys Rodshop www.langysrodshop.co.uk , This has worked well and is something i really enjoy.

I've built a fair few cars over the years and been involved helping friends with their projects too, The current cars i own are my trusty 56 F100 which was built in 1997, My 23 T Roadster Pickup built 1999 and my current 32 Roadster project that i hope to have ready very soon. Other projects are a 26T Coupe with a healthy 512ci Caddy and a 41 willys coupe.
