Welcome! I have a 48 Chevy coupe with a 79 Z28 Camaro front clip. A bit wide but narrowed control arms fix that problem or just different offset wheels... Look into a MII front end as well. They look nicer, may be easier for you to weld in and have a great ride as well... Some say the MII is not built for heavy cars but if you ask me they are just fine. I have seen them on full panel trucks that pull trailors, etc and they hold up just fine or else most people would not be using them.
The front clip will take more work on your part as far as figuring out the measurments and welding it together so if you go this route TAKE YOUR TIME.
