New Guy From Florida
hello eveyone.
i just found this site. seems cool, so i joined.
i have a 1957 chevy 3100 pick up truck. 350/TH350
i purchased it last february 2008, and have been working on it since.
the PO did a fair restoration, but nothing perfect. and i didnt want a trailer queen.
the things i have done to it since i owned it.
3" dropped front axle
power front disc brakes ( a real pain. LOL. )
new front bumper and hood ornament
upholster the seat
radio and speakers
new wheels and tires
restore and original steering wheel
tachometer
valve covers, air cleaner, and tune up
rebuild the carb
refinish the bed wood
fab a spare tire winch
fab custom door handles and window cranks
fab a gas tank shelf
future plans are to install a small tool storage box in the bed for a floor jack and tools, replace the door and vent windows, and maybe lower it a tad more front and back.
one day would like to put a 5 or 6 speed manual in place of the th350 auto.

it`s good to have fair weather members to help us colder climate guys stay enthuised about a new car season looming just around the corner ..hopefully gas prices wont go beserk like last year .. it put quite the squeeze on my cruising ..iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

looks like you got a cool colection going.
do you have a web album so i could check out your pinto and mustang ?
my first car in 1978 was a 1970 fastback mustang. i love the 429 boss.
my second car was a 1971 pinto with a 351w. ran 12's in the 1/4.

Leonard, it's in the Tampa Bay area, just a little community on the skirts of north Tampa. Geographically, I'm in Land O Lakes, FL but our mailing address is Lutz.

thanks for the info on lutz mike. i have 2 vacant lots in punta gorda / port charlotte south of you. (know anyone who wants to purchase a vacant lot) ?
and bob, i live in hollywood / pembroke pines. between miami and ft lauderdale. i am at ft lauderdale beach almost weekly.
cant beat this weather down here, thats for sure.
