Hello all,
I'm a new member to Club Hotrod as of earlier today. As I was reading, I got more and more interested in becoming a member.

In 2003 I purchased a 1934 Ford street rod that was nearly completed by the previous owner. To complete the car, I learned a lot about what went into a quality street rod build. I crawled all over my car and learned a ton. I also have several friends that have built cars so.... I figured that I could do my own.

I am currently in the process of converting a restored 1936 Chevy 2 door town sedan with a stuck engine into a street rod. I started off by rebuilding a 94 LT1 engine and a 4L60E transmission. I then tore out the existing front susspension and put in a Mustang II IFS with a 2 inch drop spindle. I've fabricated new brackets for the radiator mount that also mounts the fendor braces to it. I LOVE the work and its going extremely well. My friends help, offer advice, encouragement and are surprised at my fabrication skills.

I guess there are two things going for me. 1) Nobody ever told me that I couldn't do it 2) if someone says "that will never work", I work twice as hard to prove them wrong.

I've already gotten some great advice here so I'm looking forward to continue reading and posting.
All the best,
Jerome
