Thought I'd stop in and introduce myself. I'm 18 and have been into cars for a long time. I've really only been into muscle cars until the past year or so I've begun to find myself fascinated with hot rods/rat rods.
I've owned 3 project cars so far. A 1968 Plymouth Sport Satellite (original 383 4V, PW, AC, 8 track), 1967 Mercury Cougar (289 2V, PS, AC) and most recently a 1965 Mustang Fastback (A code 289, Pony interior). I'm currently on the hunt for a new project and originally I was looking for another MoPar project, but now I've been thinking about finding something Pre-60's. I'm not really sure what exactly I want to try to find, but there are a lot of old cars around here ranging from muscle cars to old 20's iron.
I'm not sure if there are certain cars that might prove easier to do for a beginner. This car will probably be done in installments. I'll first try to get it drivable, then when time/money permit I'll get to work on the body and lastly I'll finish up the interior. I've got a very decent chuck of cash saved up and I think I should be able to get a decent finished project for my budget. It won't have nice paint or flawless interior, but it should be a fun car.
