Yeah, guys, I'm from down south, Brazil!
My name is Gabriel, I have a dream of customizing a muscle car on my own! I'm here to learn, I have some knowledge in finishing, electronics, I know quite a bit about car audio, and always that something that I can help shows up, I'll be more than glad to help!
besides liking technology and cars going together, I hate "tunning" style, I love the classics, and tech must be present without notice!
the car I'm aiming is a brazilian classic, a direct descendent of the German Reckord, and sort of a cousin of Australian Monaro, the car will be a Chevrolet Opala.
it is a 6 cil. in line, 4.1 liters engine, it's an EXCELENT project, that beats lots of bigger V8, the main feature is that this engine is a MONSTER in durability, reasonably cheap to tune up, and accepts lots of modding, and holds it VERY well!
OK, you're probably laughing at me, "a 250 engine? "
yeah, my DREAM dream is a B-body Charger going with a 426 HEMI, but here in Brazil, thats like a blue-eyed white fly! extremely expensive, and outta my budget! maybe, someday, I get to import one from US, and THAN, I'll be a happy man!
so far, I'll customize my Opala, and learn from him! than, someday I get to a bigger baby... or go for a 350 in the Opala itself! I've seen more than one of these mods and it turns out great!
ok, enough chatting! for those who don't know Opala yet, here is the closest thing to the "brazilian muscle" (considering the stock standards of the 70's, not close to the big block monsters from the 60's or modern mods):
this is one of the V8 350 mods:
