Over Due Hello....

It's been over a year since I signed up, thought it might be time to say hello.
The user name may be familiar to some of you, as I belong to a couple of other forums also.
I am 56 years old and work overseas, so build time is not often enough.
Projects are a '22 Dodge bodied modified roadster and a restored 1920 Ford TT grain truck.
3 grand kids (garage monkeys) that help in their own ways with the build, grandson is in one photo.
I do try to keep them involved.
I hope to be able to contribute something of value every now and then. '22

Welcome to CHR, 22! That's a nice little buggy you got. The picture with your grandson really puts the size into perspective. That thing is really low. If I drove it, my knuckles would probably drag on the ground:LOL: :LOL:

I don't work overseas and even I find it difficult to get in the garage to have fun. Glad you decided to excercise your keyboard and join us. Looking forward to future postings from you.

Thanks Mopar34. Yes, it is low, but comfortable to drive (I'm 6' tall).
My grandson is 5' 1" at the moment, and the rear tires are 31" high, so it does give a size comparison.
My wife and I hope to enjoy driving it again soon.

Thanks, Ron. Uploaded 22 photos of progress on the car to the gallery.
I purchased the car about 5 years ago.
Roadster was running, but had many "issues" and most have been resolved.
The basic parts used are as follows:

'29 Ford frame, z'd 11" in the rear and narrowed 4" at the fire wall.
Boxed in the rear.
'22 Dodge cut down touring body, channeled 6".
'49 Chevy 235 "hi-torque" 6, McGurk cam and intake with 3 Stromberg singles.
Nicson valve & side covers, Mallory duel point.
'46 Ford brakes and rear axle (3.78 ratio).
'36 Chevy 3 speed, steel quick change from a modified stock banjo in the early 60's,
never finish machined or used.
Machining and assembly of the quick change rear by Steve at Lime Works in Whittier, Ca.
(Fantastic bunch of people to work with !!!)

That is pretty much it... Looking forward to driving it again soon. '22
