    New guy here from Oklahoma

Hey everyone how's it goin? I just stumbled across this site while doin a little bit of research on some older cars. First off I'm 19 years old from Oklahoma and building vehicles is my passion. I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado truck thats bagged on billet wheels, shaved and painted with ghost flames, interior work, all that good stuff. Right now its torn apart completely though. I'm building a new backhalf frame section for it and body dropping it via a channel style body drop.
My daily driver is a 1999 Chevy silverado lowered a little bit on stock 2007 Tahoe 20 inch wheels. I'm trying not to put money in that one.

Here are a couple of pics of my trucks

And here she is all torn apart.

And just a quickie of the daily driver on the old wheels and tires.

Now you may wonder why I'm here... I have a terrible itch to build an older convertable car that's laid out on billet wheels. I want something that I can get out and cruise when its nice out and turn peoples heads when they see a young guy cruising around in something like that.
This car is part of my inspiration to build one. It's the same body style that I want but I want mine to be a solid color on polished billet wheels. I'll make a thead later on asking for information on building this though.

So, there you have it. Now you know who I am and can expect a ton of questions from me about building me a new car.

J.J. Welcome to CHR you have come to a great site, these guys will tell you anything you need to know. Looks like you may be helping with your abilities so far. You have two really nice looking trucks; I would like the silver one sitting in my driveway. You have an eye for style and the vision for a nice street rod. You have a long time to put out some nice rides. Your work will defiantly turn heads, Keep up the good work, keep the pictures coming.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'll be around here alot as I plan for this build. Right now I'm thinking its going to be a couple years before I get started but I have good reasoning for it. First and foremost I have to finish my silver truck. Once it gets out of the shop this time I'm gonna drive it to a couple shows then I'll paint it and I'll be done with that one.

The second reason is that I honestly want to save money for a down payment on a house before I get into another project. Once I feel that I have a decent enough ammount saved up to buy me a house I will begin searching for the project. By doing that it gives me time to plan out the build 100% to the T the way I want it.
