Muscle car convert
Just the obligatory introduction post.
My name is Karl. I'm 34 and live near Baltimore. I've had a number of great cars over the years: 70 Camaro, 76 Corvette, 77 Z/28, and 71 Chevelle.
My current projects are an 80 Camaro g-machine and a 51 Buick Roadmaster.
I'm joining a few forums like this one to make contact with others into 50s cars. I've got scores of resources for information on muscle cars, but I'm kinda clueless when it comes to information on this Buick. Finding parts is my biggest challenge at the moment.
Anyway, I look forward to participating in this community. Thanks!

Hi Karl, welcome to the forum. You don't see many '51 Buicks around which will automatically make it cool. Love them big old straight eights. We had a '48 Roadmaster convert when I was growing up and every year we would make the trip from Pa to Florida for our vacation and it purred right along each time. Very smooth engines and great cars all around.
Shoot us some pictures when you can.

Welcome to CHR, Karl. Baltimore? huh? It seems that I have spent most of my life working there. Still do, in fact that is where I am now (in Baltimore, hardly working. :3dSMILE: ) Don't live there, just work there.
Sounds like you got two great projects. The Buick will be the biggest challenge but well worth it. My brother in law has a thing for Buicks, has had several, but now only has a 67 Skylark convert. Let''s see some photos of the Buick and the Camaro.
