yes another new guy with a 4 door

Hey all just checking in before I chime in or ask any questions I'm going to have a good look around the site.

A little about my self I have been into cars all my life currently my Projects are my 66 chev panel truck and my 1950 chev fleetline four door.

The panel runs a 1988 5.7 with 700r4 and full wiring for the 88 from the fuel pump in the tank to the ECM controlling the tbi and the trans.

The 50 Is at point "A" (aka) the beginning, plans call for a mild rod with a monty front clip and rear axle, right now im leaning towards a 250-6 with a 200 or 700r4 trans, but as you all know plans change as time goes on.

I got a '51 Fleetline 4dr. nice cars. mine's running a factory 235/ powerglide. runs great, so I have no reason to change it

Welcome to here from another more door owner:) . Mine a 48 DeSoto with 392 Hemi. A real good driver. Good info available here, just ask.

Brian, welcome to CHR!! Another 4 doorer here, mine is a 57 Olds with the original 371 BB and the J2 option. Not as swift as Jack's Desoto, but probably a lot thirstier.:CRY:

Welcome! 47 Plymouth 4dr here. Nothing wrong with a four door rod, just look at the 94-96 Impala ss and the new Chargers.

Yes Dave, you have to!:LOL: Those are the "old cars" our grandkids will be hotrodding while everyone else will be driving electric econoboxes. :LOL:

Nothing wrong with four doors. I also find that they can be helpful in keeping the wife engaged and permissive of what, as you know, can be an expensive hobby.

I am currently building my wife's 1937 Cadillac LaSalle. It will be the family hot rod. It has 71 camaro suspension front and rear, the BBC454 and 4L80E from a 92 2wd Suburban, seats (power, heated, leather) from a 2004 Bravada, and a number of custom touches including a tilt forward hood, modern gas door, shaved tailights (the originals were ugly) replaced by a 1940 ford third brake light and 41 chevy tailligts mounted in the rear bumper. Oh, did I mention it will also have a car seat for our 1 year old son.

Four doors aren't just for taxis.
