Welcome to CHR, friend of mine ran a similar car back in the mid 60's, set up was similar to yours, but had an FE with a top loader for power. Good luck with the project and get those pics posted, really anxious to show them to my old pal Steve so he can suffer with some extreme nostalgic thoughts!!!!!
The chebbie would work fine in it, especially if you already have one!!!
