Hey guys. Just thought that I would stick my head in here and let you guys take some pot shots at me.
Anyways, I just wanted to see if there were any others here that were weird like me.

Nice looking Bird, Jim!!! Looks like you are keeping a close eye on engine functions! Now get them valve springs functioning properly so you can go fast again!!!!!
Jim B. Welcome to CHR. This place is full of wierdo's, car freaks, gear heads and motor heads. :whacked: :whacked: I am sure your'll fit in real well with our little group.
Nice Bird, BTW! Look at all those guages! Beginning to look like a cockpit more than dash board.
I originally bought the car from a junk yard for parts for my 85 TC, but the more systems that I checked on it, the more that I found out worked. So I yanked the motor and tranny out of the 85 and stuck them in the 88, took it to the body shop and had the rear end fixed and it is my daily driver now.
It has all leather interior, dual 8-way electric bucket seats, electric sun roof, windows, locks, mirrors, keyless entry, and even the factory cassette deck and EQ still worked. I still have to get the A/C working, but that is really not much of an issue at this point.
Eventually the gauges that are on the dash and the one on the steering column are going to go where the EQ is now. I just have to find a cheap amp that works so I can delete the EQ.
I am also looking into getting a slightly bigger turbo and mounting my big NPR intercooler in the nose of the car so I can get rid of the top mount. It gets heat soaked bad during the summer.
And here is one for the Flathead guys, I have been toying with the idea of getting an old F1 truck with the flathead V8 and twin turboing it with a fuel injection kit. I just need to do some more home work on the flathead to see if it can be done. I just love the sound of those old things, :3dSMILE: . I may even wind up doing that to my 85 just for the kicks and giggles of it all :3dSMILE: .
My dad has a '74 Vega Kammback that we put an 8-point roll cage, aluminum firewall, 3" X 5" boxed sub-frame. This car has been somewhat tantalizing to me. Either a 2.3L turbo or a 4.9L turbo (the straight six) in it would be really cool. To be honest, I blame my dad for loving the 6's and 4's. That is all that I got back in high school. And now I have a 4 banger that can hose alot of V8's, his 98 F150 is one of them, hehehe!
Thanks for the props guys.
