G'day, Welcome from another Aussie!!
Hope you stick around it's a great site and a bunch of 'grouse' (that's for you streets :)) folks, even if they call 'em selves geezers! he he.
Hang around and have a chat,
I've just checked out your web page, and Wow that is an awesome bit of work! Very impressive,
Outback
Welcome aboard Brett.
Nice job on the car, probably ticks off the Alfisti.;)
You're obviously a talented and commited builder. Many with less talent should take to heart your comments about the body work involved
nice site ,cool ride, hope you hang around and lend some info
Thanx for the welcome and the kind words guys :)
I also post at an Alfa board and they love the car. Never heard a bad word said about from any of the alfisti what so ever. Wish I could say as much about some rodders tho
Although I've been interested in rodding for some 20 years now this is the first rod that I've built.
Before I started I had very little experience with most facets of rod building like fiber glassing, welding, chassis design, spray painting etc etc.
Also, I'm sad to say, I received very little help from any of the guys in my club and I'm sure that most of them thought I was just nut case anyway.
Looking back on things I think that being somewhat naive was a real asset because I didn't know what I couldn't do. I would just get stuck in and give things a go and eventually things would work out as they must if you persevere.
Today I know a lot more about rod building than I did 8 years ago and the next car I build is gunna be a real crakker.
Very nice car, Bcal. A very kewl site and great info on building the car. Congrats, the finished product certainly justifies the time spent on it.
Welcome to Club HotRod Brett. What agreat job on your homebuilt rod, as it really shows off your talent and ingenuity.
Larry
