New Guy from MN

This is my first post here,it's my 65 Ford Galaxie.As alays with these cars the frame needs repair.Here are some pics of my frame repair that I have done so far.It's taking me awhile to do this simply because I've been clearing land for my new shop that I'll start building soon,a 32X40 with floor heat so I can work during those cold MN winters,once it's built I'll be spending more time on the Galaxie after that.I plan on shaving all the doors and possibly suciding the rears like the Lincons.So on with the pics.

Repaired area with 10 GA. metal welded in.(I still need to do some trimming on it) This was done both sides.

So I'vebeen considering replacing it with this.

Pulley Engineering's Rear Sub-Frame Kits are constructed of 2" x 3" x .083" wall box tubing.

These kits include:
A pair of Mandrel Bent rear frame rails
A dropped crossmember
A coil over shock crossmember
Shock mounting brakets and hardware
A rear frame crossmember
A pair of sub-frame connectors
Installation bluebrints

And this as the rear suspension.

What do you all think,any input would be great.

Welcome!....I like the heated floor routine you have planned for the new garage. Your bold ideas for the projects are intriuging. Please keep us posted and the more pics, the better we like it!

Welcome to CHR! Nice project car. should be kool if you stick to your plans. I also like the heated garage floor idea. I could use one of those here in PA too. Matter of fact I could use any kind of heat in my garage, even a candle or two.:LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

PS, where the heck is Mantorville in Minnesota? Don't think I've even heard of it?????

Thanks for the welcome. The floor is a common item for mst that I know building a new garage.This was one car that I thought I would be able to get on the road quickly,I got it from my nieghbors Dad who got it from an estate sale in Iowa, the plates were last licensed in 67 and the body is in fair shape, a couple spots on the florr and trunk and the quaters need work but when I crawled underneath it I knew then it was going to be a project.
