picking up a 51 deluxe 4 door this weekend
was wondering is this year model 6 or 12 volt
it needs a lot of tlc and a lot work but did run when it was parked a little over 5 years ago
plans are to put in 350 or stroker not yet 2 decied might keep the stright 6 with tha three on the tree
my grandpa had one, and his was a 6 volt, if that helps.Quote:

swap the 216 6 to a later '53 up 235 6, and get a PG rear end ( 3.55:1 gear ratio ) and you'll have a nice cruiser
Welcome to CHR...Just a note of caution on the '51....Resale on a 4 door is considerably less then on a 2 door. Unless you plan on keeping the car forever, watch how much $$$$ you invest in the build...
