New to the site
Hello all. My name is Brian, I have a 48 Chevy pickup chopped and sectioned (well half done ) that I have owned since 1973 when I was 15. I chopped the top a few months after buying it. Drove it for years with a hot six and muncie four speed. Then rebuilt it with a mid engine (yeah thats right) Buick 401. The seats were right over the valve covers with a 16 inch long drive shaft!
Anyway, I came to my senses a few years ago and started a rebuild. It is now going to have a hot little six and is sectioned as well (I got another cab being I had hacked the old one a little). I have a 440 CI (bored out 425) nailhead to put in if I want, that is what I was planning. But alas, I am an inline six nut as well so I am going to put the six with a five speed.
My dad sold Buicks for years so I am also a Buick nut having a 65 Gran Sport convertible as well. My brother and I have built many Buicks and he has a super nice ALL Buick 22 Roadster (body and all) and a 55 F-100 with a nailhead in it.
I have been in the body and paint industry for almost 30 years if you have any questions about body and paint I may be able to help.

Hi Brian, and welcome. We were just talking about nailheads on here, so your contributions will be helpful.

What I want to know is why won't the photos post on the other forum? Someone wanted a photo of a blown nailhead and I posted the photo framing it with the [img] just like the one above but it didn't appear in the post.

Welcome to here.
Lotta nailhead fans here including me, although never owned one, as I'm little more of a Hemi guy.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
