new here... big pic warning
I'm new to your awsome forums... I can't afford to build my dream hotrod just yet but I love em and always have. I have a huuge collection of plastic models I've built over the years and drawings but thats as far as I've gotten lol. I'm a self taught 3D modeler that likes making all types of vehicles.. hotrods, choppers, exotics... you name it... I had an idea the other day of what to do with all the artwork I've created. I'm thinking it would look good on some T-shirts. (see below) basically I'm wonderign if this is the kind of thing that actual rodders would be interested in? or am I wasting my time with the idea? I'm not here trying to sell them...I'm checking for interest in them. thanks for any replies!

Welcome to CHR
Nice work and I beleave a good idea you should or could go to some shows and sell them or even on ebay. People are always buying Tees. A tip would be to have them with pocket tees. I look for them althe time and can never find them. I like to carry my glasses in my shirt pocket and about the only shirts I where are pocket tees.Charlie

thanks for the replies... I could do people's individual vehicles but that would have to be a special order deal.. mabey I'll look into that if this works out. for now I'm working up a few designs to get started. I also have a few that aren't so modernized... no 20" wheels and huge disk brakes lol... more like 15" spokes with whitewalls and drums.

I'm always looking for t-shirts, and I would really like one with my car on it. The ebay idea is really good too. Good Luck!Go Hokies!!!!!! ACC CHAMPS '04,'07,'08

I agree, I would love to find someone to do T shirts with a drawing of my car on it. I know it would be more labor intensive than mass producing something, but it would make you sort of unique. A guy could send you a picture and you could draw from that.
Just my 2 cents. Oh, and welcome.

I can do specific cars... but I'd get flooded like you wouldn't believe.. the time it takes to make a model one $20 shirt wouldn't really be a good deal for me. if it was a model I already had and it really only needed a wheel and paint job change then it wouldn't be too bad... but as of yet I only have these 2 rods and a 23 T-bucket made. I'm working on a 37 woody and a some others. I have a lot of musclecars and choppers... my library of parts and vehicles grows daily so you never know one day I may be able to throw together personal cars quickly. right now like I said I'm just focusing on these few vehicles and variations of them ( I have lots of wheels, paint jobs and camera angles to keep them interesting) thanks for the replies guys...Last edited by kingcobra; 12-31-2006 at 08:33 PM.

Welcome to here.
I expect you would have no problem getting $30-$50 for a good quality T. I agree, I always look for T's with a pocket.

wow Awsome Pics. Keep Up The Good Work!
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
