no longer lurking
Hello to all!
Thought it was about time to intro myself.
Just another fabricator, I've been welding for almost 30 years now, ( I'm not an old guy yet, I just started young)
Grew up around Drag cars of the Mid 60s in Oklahoma.
I've been dinking around with motorsports, and hot rods for a while.
My latest is pictured here (if I worked it right).
39 chev. pu cab. The rest of it is fabricated. Ford Y block, what a switch huh? ford in a chevy?
Anyway, glad to be officaily here. I am in the shop, more than on the computer so you probably won't see me much. But I plan on chiming in every so often. Jeff

Thanks you guys. The rails of the frame start in the back with 3x4 box tubing. That portion runs from the back of the bed through the back of the cab. I dropped it straight down from there about 14 inches. Heavy wall mild steel tubing comes straight out to the front of the truck. There is full cage as part of the frame that ties the whole thing together.
The 292 is stock other than a cam change to help with the dual quad set up.
The interior is bare bones, not really nice. Aluminum floor pan .

Neat truck and welcome to CHR!!!! Really good to see an old Y block, used to run them many moons ago, the 312 with some work made a very respectable engine!!!!
