Introducing myself
My name is Kyle and I would like to say hello to everyone.
I joined up to learn more about big blocks and to find the info to make me happy with my decisions getting the truck to run the way I would like it to.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you in time but will probably stay around the big block chevy forum doing research or asking questions.
Thanks Kyle

I'll freely admit that I dunno beans about BBC's, Kyle, and there are probably some guys here who will tell you that I don't know beans PERIOD.
Welcome anyway!
There are definitely people posting here who do know those engines, and you will find them to be a very accommodating bunch of characters.

Thanks Jim, I would much prefer to discuss this stuff with people who admit to know nothing that to discuss it with people who would purposefully lead me astray. I am just looking for good quality info.
Thanks for the welcome and look forward to talking to you again.

Hi Kyle, Welcome to the best site ever. I build SBC's to outrun the BBC's (just kidding). Don't really know much about the BBC but anything I can help you with let me know.
-
Roy, Thanks and I'm sure there are many Small blocks out there that will outrun Big blocks but we can't all run the same thing or it wouldn't be any fun now would it.
-
Welcome, there's plenty of BBC people here.
And there are ricers that will outrun both SBC, BBC ..............
But in the end there's extreme BB's running the best ET's in top fuel funny and rail jobs ...........

Thanks for the welcome Kitz, and I would say if they are outrunning solid built big blocks and don't have neon spinners or something along those lines then I don't consider them rice. Fast is Fast.
-
Yes sir, I feel the same way ............
BTW, there's an extremely experienced BBC dude on this site that goes by the name Pat McCarthy. If I was going to be building a new BBC I would certainly want to engage his experience ...............
Best Wishes, Kitz

Welcome Kyle, lots of very knowledgeable BBC guys here, just don't count me amongst them!!!!!  Pat and Eric should jump in here eventually, they can deal with most any BBC questions you would present....
-
Welcome aboard, Kyle. I got a big block, know a lot about it, but don't mess with it. Plus my big block is of no interest to any one born after 1970 as it is a 371 in a 57 Olds. Fabled, but old.
Seems to be a lot of big block chevy members here and I also listen to them because there may come a time when I will need to replace my 371  with a 454 or a 502.:D

Thanks for the welcome guys, looking forward to learning as much as I can from all of the knowledgable people here.
Don't worry Mopar34, as long as it's what you like then enjoy it until it can't be rebuilt again. Isn't that the whole point of us being here.
