Newbie
Hello all, new to the board and happy to have found the site. Right now I'm inbetween "dream cars" lol. I sold everything I had this past summer to buy the property next door to me to build me a garage hopefully next year. Always seemed to have project cars around, and no place to work on them. Now maybe I'll have the place to work on them, if I can ever afford to get another one.
Anybody out there know where I can get a really cheap 64 Chevelle? If the price is right I'll start my new collection now. lol

Welcome to the forum. You are going to love that shop when it is done. There is simply no way to effectively build cars without the proper tools, and a nice garage is at the top of that list.
Cheap '64 Chevelle? Getting harder to find ANY old car at reasonable prices today. We were just marveling at Daytona how the prices have dramatically risen on anything that we would consider building. They say the selling market is soft now, but not for project cars, from what I am seeing. It is still possible to find one that is maybe a base model at a lower price, if you are patient, and keep turning over rocks.
Good luck with the garage.

I know what you mean on project cars being high priced. Seems most people hear what Barret Jackson gets for a car, then think that must be what thiers is worth. Never mind it needing 15 to 20k in restoration. I used to work in a body shop right out of high school, it's amazing today what just the cost of quality materials is for restoring a car, let alone the labor costs, compared to 15 yrs. ago or so.
I'm hoping to put up a 28 or 30 foot deep by 36 foot wide shop, sounds big on paper but, I know as soon as it's done it won't be big enough, they're never "big enough" are they? lol
I'm going to keep turning over those rocks til I find what I can afford. Who knows maybe I'll turn one over and find my ultimate dream, a 34 Ford three window dirt cheap. yeah that's gonna happen. lol
